Our goal is to collaborate with a wide range of donors to provide scholarships and support to students in need, and to establish new community outreach programs to help families facing hardship throughout the Caribbean and the US.

The Futures Initiative Project - Supporting Education
Renaldo Facey's journey to academic success is a testament to the power of kindness, community support, and the faithfulness of God. Growing up in Denham Town, a neighborhood known for high levels of crime and poverty in Jamaica, he faced many challenges in pursuit of his academic goals. However, he was fortunate to have the support of kind-hearted individuals who helped him along the way. His mother and grandmother fought tirelessly to provide for him and ensure that he could attend school despite financial difficulties. Their unwavering love and sacrifice undoubtedly played a critical role in his success. Moreover, his mentors, teachers, community leaders and even strangers, also played a significant role in helping him achieve his goals.
At Wolmer's Boy's High School, Renaldo was faced with financial challenges that made it difficult for him to even afford lunch at times. However, his academic excellence did not go unnoticed, and his potential was recognized by his teachers and leaders of his community. As a result, he was offered scholarships and financial support to help him continue his studies. This includes a scholarship from the Minister of Local Government and Community Development to attend university in the United States. In addition, his story touched the hearts of many strangers from near and far who gave their support and contributed to his journey in their own way, from financial donations to mentorship and motivation.
Renaldo's experiences demonstrate the transformative power of kindness and community support. His success is a reflection of the belief that others had in him, and the sacrifices that they made to help him along the way. He believes that without his trust in God and the support of his family, mentors, and selfless strangers, his journey to this point would not have been possible. Their kindness provided him with the tools, resources and hope he needed to succeed and fulfil his potential. He believes whole-heartedly that if other youngsters are given the opportunity and assistance he was afforded, they would be able to strive for excellence.
Now a graduate of Drexel University and an aspiring Neuroscientist, Renaldo hopes to continue the cycle of giving back. As co-founder of the Future's Initiative Project, he is passionate about realizing this goal of impacting lives and inspiring others to pursue their dreams, no matter what obstacles they face.
